John Kiff has been a Senior Financial Sector Expert at the International Monetary Fund since 2005. These are his personal views, and should not be attributed to the Fund, its Executive Board, or its management. Prior to joining the Fund, John worked at Bank of Canada, where he was involved in various financial markets analytic and trading activities. Since 1999, John was heavily involved in several BIS working groups that focused on credit risk transfer markets, and he has published a number of articles and papers around these projects.
